The transfer period is underway and deals are flying around. Here we have a look at some of the most high value and best deals so far in the first week of the transfer season.

Carlos Bacca to AC Milan – 30 million euros
The Colombian striker took Sevilla to a fifth-placed league finish along with their second consecutive Europa League title.

Bacca scored 20 goals in the league, along with seven Europa League goals.

AC Milan snatched the prolific goalscorer at the beginning of the transfer window for 30 million euros.

The 28-year old has proven he can be the difference in matches. He put in stellar performances in the league where he scored a brace on four occasions.

Bacca has shown that he can perform to the best of his ability in the biggest matches of the season, contributing to all three goals in their 3-2 Europa League victory over FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He assisted in one and scored two, including the winner.

Bacca’s contribution to set pieces makes him a threat to defences in the box, and his sublime finishing is his greatest attribute.

A fast and prolific finisher has been missing from AC Milan since Alexandre Pato and this seems like a great piece of transfer business for the Rosoneri.

Miranda on loan – 3.5 million euros
Miranda was a part of Atletico Madrid’s third-placed finish in the La Liga last season and Brazil’s Copa America. He featured 23 times in the league and scored three goals.

Miranda averaged one of the best average clearances per game in the league at 5.4, compared to Pique and Sergio Ramos at 2.9.

Miranda has the ability to displace his fellow countryman Juan Jesus in the back line at Inter Milan; he featured in almost every game for the Italian club this season.

If he does he will be stationed next to captain Andrea Ranocchia, who recently signed a four-year contract extension.

Miranda’s style of play has been much adapted to the Spanish league. He likes to dribble and play more direct passes, this suits the Serie A.

Along with new signings Geoffrey Kondogbia and Martin Montoya, Miranda could be a part of the Inter Milan side that finds themselves in the top four next season.

Dimitri Payet to West Ham – 15 million euros
Payet was the unsung hero of the Ligue 1 season. The Frenchman topped the assist leaderboard with a staggering 21 contributions while also scoring seven league goals

Payet arrived in East London unexpectedly – and for an unexpected price tag – at 15 million euros.

West ham lacked a playmaker last season, which is one of the reasons they finished the year with more goals conceded than scored.

With no out and out striker there, Andy Carroll in and out and Diafra Sakho the only player able to hit double digits in goals last season, West Ham may have found a way to the back of the net.

His key passes, set-pieces and long shots are all very strong, but his adaptation to the Premier League may come slower as he is not used to tracking back.

Payet’s arrival could see the Hammers back into the top half of the table next season.

Gerard Deulofeu to Everton – 6 million euros
It was a signing that made Everton fans and neutrals smile with excitement.

Deulofeu is an explosive winger who just spent a season-long loan at Europa League winners Sevilla.

Unfortunately he was not apart of the club’s triumph; his last appearance in the competition came in the round of 16.

He showed his attacking pace and penetration at angles of the defence in their 4-1 win against Deportivo La Corunã, where he provided three assists.

Deulofeu is returning to a squad that has not changed since his loan spell in the 2013-14 Premier League, where Everton finished in a Europa League spot.

He scored three goals and gained four assists, impressing Roberto Martinez, but unfortunately they did not have enough funds to purchase the winger.

Andre Ayew to Swansea – free transfer
The tough French winger joined Swansea on the cheap, at the end of his four-year contract with Marseille. He played 207 games, scored 60 goals and assisted 25.

Ayew’s competition is the pacey Englishmen Wayne Routledge and Jefferson Montero. Ayew has enough experience and can displace either of those players in the starting eleven.

Ayew’s ability to hold up the ball in midfield and dribble past defenders with pace and agility, shows he suits the English Premier League outfit.

Though his lack of crossing quality may hurt his performance, he’d look forward to meeting his fellow teammate Dimitri Payet in the league – a great piece of transfer business by Gary Monk.

These are the most valuable transfers for the first seven days of the transfer period. There are more to come next week.
