The Wests Tigers will be hunting their first win since Round 14 when they beat South Sydney, with a win over the top of the table Broncos.

This match is shaping up to be huge in terms of determining whether the Tigers can stay alive and play come September, or if they will finish at the bottom of the pile.

With no Robbie Farah the Tigers young side will be tested with Manaia Cherrington and Nathan Milone required to step up and go head-to-head with some of the game’s best in Andrew McCullough and Justin Hodges respectively.

Justin Hodges’ return to centre moves Jordan Kahu to the wing and sees Daniel Vidot drop to an extended five-man bench.

The Tigers have named Tim Simona in place of Delouise Hoeter at centre with Luke Brooks returning at halfback seeing Josh Drinkwater drop out of the squad. Keith Galloway joins an extended bench. Robbie Farah has not been named.

The Broncos and Tigers have met for a total of 23 matches since the joint venture came into the competition in 2000. The Broncos have won the majority of matches, claiming victory on 18 occasions. The Tigers have won just 4, with the only other meeting being a tie.

Their most recent meeting came in Round 11 of 2014 when the Broncos defeated the Tigers 16-14 at Campbelltown Stadium. The Broncos are coming off a win over the Bulldogs 16-8, while Wests had a bye last week.
