Two of world football’s biggest clubs will clash at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday night in one of the most anticipated friendlies ever played on Australian shores. Manchester City and Real Madrid will square off, and it’s sure to be a belter – here’s how to stream the match online and watch on TV.
For just the second time, Rafael Benitez will take the reigns at Real Madrid after suffering a loss in penalties to AS Roma following a 0-0 draw in Melbourne.
Though the International Champions Cup match is just a friendly, the game is an important opportunity for Benitez to get his systems in place and figure out what his best eleven looks like.
For City, they’ll be looking to build momentum going into the new season after defeating AS Roma 5-4 in penalties following a late equaliser by the Serie A side.
Manuel Pellegrini, for his part, would like to extract some revenge on his old side after being sacked in 2010 following a title-less season.
Kickoff for Real Madrid vs Manchester City will be at 7:45pm AEST at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
