Match Preview:

The New Zealand Warriors play the Penrith Panthers in a must-win game for both sides. Join The Roar from 5:15pm (AEST) for live scores and updates.

The Warriors are in a slump, having lost the past four matches, only managing to score 26 points in those defeats. This culminated in last week’s embarrassing defeat to the Dragons.

The good news is that the New Zealand side are up against an equally disappointing club, also in a bad patch of form.

Penrith have struggled to string together any real form this season, with one or two good matches tossed among a plethora of poor performances and disappointing results.

Their loss against Melbourne in Round 19 was a low point, though they’re yet to pick themselves back up as they struggle with injuries.

The Warriors heavy defeat to the Dragons last week sees multiple changes to the playing squad.

Sam Rapira joins the squad at prop, with Raymond Faitala-Mariner in for the suspended Ben Matulino.

Ryan Hoffman makes his return from injury, and Konrad Hurrell has been named on the bench.

Fewer changes for Penrith, just David Simmons added to provide more experience on the wing.

Statistics don’t bode well for this match-up. Only three times this season have Penrith scored more then 24 points in a match, and the Warriors, as we know, have only scored 26 points in their last four outings.
