Today I continue my series in naming the best sides of each NRL club. The Titans have only had nine years in the NRL and while they haven’t won’t a premiership or had a bona fide superstar, they do have some handy players.

1. Preston Campbell
Dally M Winner

Part of the Gold Coast Chargers, Preston was the first signing for the Titans. His quickness and ad lib play helped the Titans find their feet when they were beginning.

2. David Mead
8 caps for Papua New Guinea

Very consistent with plenty of pace, Mead always finds a way to score. He hasn’t got many weaknesses.

3. James Roberts
Roberts has shown how unstoppable he can be when he gets it together. Probably the fastest player ever in the NRL.

4. William Zillman
Zillman has been a mainstay in the Gold Coast backline, has great acceleration and excels anywhere in the backline

5. Kevin Gordon
Very fast and agile winger who has shown he can finish tries.

6. Aidan Sezer
Smart half with great defence and a good kicking game.

7. Scott Prince
4 caps for Australia, 5 for Queensland, Clive Churchill Medal winner

A creative half who was the reason behind the Titans being one game from the grand final in 2010.

8. Luke Douglas
A fit, resilient player who has been able to play a record amount a games in succession.

9. Nathan Friend
Friend is a nuggety hooker and a tackling machine. His best asset is how he can pass the ball between his legs while doing a back flip.

10. Luke Bailey
4 caps Australia, 15 NSW

Big prop who showed us how to do it well into his 30s, Bailey was for a long time the key to Titans engine room.

11. Nate Myles
9 caps Australia, 29 for Queensland, second rower of the year, Wally Lewis Medal winner

Tough, gritty player who has been the best forward for the Titans so far. He has been a rock in defence for Titans.

12. Greg Bird
17 caps for Australia. 15 for NSW, Brad Fittler Medal winner

Passionate, Bird is an all-heart player with ball-playing ability.

13. Ashley Harrison
15 caps for Queensland

The glue of the Titans, Harrison was a total work horse. The Titans still haven’t recovered from his loss.

The Titans don’t really have a team full of stars, they do however have some of the fastest players ever to grace a rugby league field.

This side has a great back row, which adds plenty of steel in defence. They have quality halves and some good go forward.

While they look good for an NRL outfit, they still lack the quality of some of the other all-time sides in the series.
