In any World Cup of substance there’s bound to be the odd one-sided result when the less-experienced nations try and match it with the big boys.

Namibia were unlucky enough to face Australia in both the cricket and rugby world cups of 2003, and it didn’t end well on either occasion.

The rugby match, played at the Adelaide Oval, felt like a cricket game as Australia racked up 22 tries to win 142-0.

Chris Latham ran in five tries, while Matt Giteau and Lote Tuqiri scored hat-tricks.

Poor old Namibia, if they could have called for the mercy rule they would have.

The only saving grace for the African nation was the fact that they didn’t take the record for most points conceded in a game, with that ‘honour’ going to Japan who leaked 145 against New Zealand in 1995, when the All Blacks scored 21 tries.
