What better way to spend Saturday, in the lead up to another week of the English Premier League, than taking a look at the power rankings for last week.

One team remains undefeated in season 2015-16 with Manchester City winning away to Everton at Goodison Park.

They remain number one but who are in the other 19 positions? Well, here is the list after Week 3, you can view Week 2 here.

1. (1) Manchester City
City remain the team to beat after another great performance. This time they went to Goodison Park and won 2-0 against Everton. They are now two points clear of the rest of the field, and five points clear of Arsenal and Chelsea. If those gaps get bigger than the season could be over extremely quickly.

2. (2) Manchester United
Remain in second but are very lucky to do so. How they didn’t score against Newcastle, no one will ever know. They lost two points over the weekend, and now lose ground to their cross-city rivals. Suddenly Swansea away from home becomes a huge match.

3. (3) Liverpool
Should have gone down by a goal early against Arsenal, with a bad offside ruling going their way. They were also unlucky not to score twice during the first half, however. A draw was a fair result for the Reds and they get a precious point away from home. They are getting the job done at the moment.

4. (6) Chelsea
Bounced back with a big win against West Brom. While it wasn’t a big win, in terms of the opponent, it was an important win in the context of the season. Giving their rivals a 6-8 point gap early would have been horrible. They didn’t have it all their own way as West Brom fought back to 3-2 and had the last 35 minutes with an extra man. Importantly though the job was done. Now they face the improving Crystal Palace at home.

5. (5) Arsenal
Unlucky not to go a goal up against Liverpool, with a goal that shouldn’t have been ruled offside. They also survived a barrage of attacks from Liverpool, and were lucky to get a point. Home form is starting to become a worry though with one point from two home games. A tough trip to Newcastle is next.

6. (7) Leicester
Another impressive result for the Foxes as they drew 1-1 with Tottenham at home. Riyad Mahrez scored again as they fought back from 1-0 down. Can they continue the run? Time will tell on that one but they are building nicely to be safe from relegation for this season.

7. (10) Crystal Palace
Jump to fifth after a 2-1 win over Aston Villa at home. They did leave it late though with an 87th minute strike breaking the deadlock. Now they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on a John Terry-less Chelsea. Can they get a result? I wouldn’t rule it out.

8. (4) Swansea
Got a point away at Sunderland, but would have wanted three. They had the lead at half-time with Sunderland equalising with almost 30 minutes to go. Taking away the result, Swansea remain in the top six and now have a big test against Manchester United at home.

9. (8) Everton
Did get beaten by Manchester City but they were able to hold them out for 60 minutes. They won’t be the first side humbled by the team in blue from Manchester. A match against Tottenham this week will be huge for both clubs.

10. (11) Tottenham
Got a point against Leicester after holding the lead for just two minutes in the match. They have had a sluggish start to the season so far by gaining just two points. A result against Everton, at home, will be vital if they are to remain this high in the rankings.

11. (9) Stoke City
Grabbed a point away from home against Norwich to make it two draws for the season. Once again they are showing that it is hard to break down and beat this team. The results will start coming for them soon. They could get it against West Brom at home.

12. (13) Norwich
They have been the most impressive promoted team after three rounds of the Premier League. A 1-1 draw against Stoke gave them four points from their last two games. This season is all about survival for them. So far so good as they move up to eighth.

13. (15) Newcastle
Got a great 0-0 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. It has been a venue that hasn’t been kind to the Magpies, so it was a big result to gain a point. They welcome Arsenal this weekend and will look to gain a win for the first time this season.

14. (14) Aston Villa
Villa were unlucky not to get a point last week against Crystal Palace. They equalised, after being 1-0 down, but couldn’t hold on as Palace got a late winner. That is now two straight losses for Villa, after an opening day win against Bournemouth. They will want to turn it around soon.

15. (19) AFC Bournemouth
What a brilliant day last Saturday was for Bournemouth. They scored their first goal in the Premier League, and won their first ever match as well against West Ham. Callum Wilson would also score the first hat-trick for the club in the promised land. Bournemouth will need more days like last Saturday to avoid relegation, but they are on the board this season.

16. (12) West Ham
On the other scale, it was a disappointing day for West Ham. Two weeks ago, they were beating Arsenal, now they get defeated by one of the new boys in the comp. Suddenly they look to be in trouble and face a tough trip to Liverpool. Leaking goals will have to be fixed quickly.

17. (17) Watford
Got a point at home to make it three draws in three matches. They face the toughest test in the league this weekend with a trip to Manchester to face City. A result would be huge.

18. (16) Southampton
Got a point against Watford but now fall into the relegation zone. Ronald Koeman has a big job to do. A result against Norwich is a must this weekend.

19. (18) West Brom
Played well against Chelsea but didn’t get anything to show for it. Play Stoke this week and need a result to get out of the bottom two.

20. (20) Sunderland
Much better from Sunderland who held Swansea to a draw at home. Jermain Defoe is showing again why he is vital to the team. It must continue when they face Aston Villa away from home.
