Well, we’re off and running again. The 2015-16 Bundesliga has officially started a week ago and Bayern Munich is yet undefeated.

Bayern is unsurprisingly the team to beat this season, but in 2015-16 the stakes are a bit higher.

Munich have the chance to write history this season. Bayern can be the first team ever to win the Bundesliga trophy four times in a row.

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga trophy in seasons 12-13, 13-14 and 14-15, each time wrapping up victory well in advance of the end of the season. Can the 15-16 side make it a fourth?

While Munich have historically dominated German football, it has been no easy task. Despite his good record, Pep Guardiola is under pressure and there is speculation that he may not have his contract renewed at the end of this year.

Bayern’s task cannot be underestimated or taken lightly; the Bundesliga is back and better than ever this season.

There are so many teams that are fighting for that prestigious number one spot.

From traditional heavyweights Schalke and Dortmund, to last year’s runners up Moenchengladbach and Wolfsburg, a lot of challenges face Bayern.

Since the Germans’ victory in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, much of the footballing world has focused on the German league. The quality of players in the German league is also increasing, despite threats from England and Spain.

We are only three rounds into the season, but it is sure to be an entertaining ride – particularly for Bayern fans!
