In the last two years Robredo has defeated Aussies on his way to a fourth round appearance in 2014, and a quarter final appearance in 2013.

In the opening round of 2015 the Spaniard ended the Grand Slam career of Michael Berrer in straight sets, losing just eight games.
Groth progressed after Alexandr Dolgopolov retired after the third set. The Aussie, who served 15 aces, fought back from a set down to hold a two-sets-to-one lead when the world number 39 retired.
Now he is a win away from the third round of a Grand Slam for the third time this year. A win today would also move him, provisionally, inside the top 50 – an incredible achievement for someone who almost quit the game three years ago.
These two have faced each other before, with Robredo winning a close match at Shenzhen last year. Groth took the first set 6-1, before Robredo won the last two 7-5 6-3.
On that day Groth conceded 10 break points, but was able to save eight of them. His serve is the key today. He needs plenty of free points and to serve plenty of first serves.
The baseline rally is also important. Groth will look to finish points quickly, whereas Robredo will look to continue them for as long as possible, make the Aussie run and use his mobility to hit winners.
Prediction
The Spaniard’s experience will be the difference.
