South Korea’s Chung is a rising star who has had a stellar 2015.

Three Challenger titles and two further finals at the level saw him rise to a career-high ranking of 69 in May.

Now the 19-year-old has his first victory at a main draw of a Grand Slam event, beating Australian James Duckworth in Round 1.

Chung dominated the clash, losing just six games, with just one unforced error, to become the first South Korean to win a Grand Slam main-draw match since Lee Hyung-taik at the 2008 French Open.

It’s been a hell of a rise for the youngster.

Now he faces one of the toughest tests in tennis, Stan Wawrinka.

Wawrinka eased his way into Round 2 with a 7-5 6-4 7-6 win over Albert Ramos-Vinolas.

Despite serving nine double faults, and conceding three breaks to Ramos, Wawrinka was still able to win in straight sets.

Wawrinka has been a force on this year’s tour, already capturing the French Open title by beating world number one Novak Djokovic in the final. He is one of the form players on tour.

Now he faces a youngster who has nothing to lose, and has a game to cause some worry. His serve is good, and as illustrated in the first round of the tournament, he hardly makes a mistake while hitting winners.

Wawrinka should be too strong for Chung but the South Korean No. 1 may win a set. Either way, it should be a fascinating contest.
