Fans will be treated to the next generation of talent when the Allies AFL team takes on the Australian under 17s side on grand final Day.

The Allies side made up of a number of talented players from Queensland, NSW, Northern Territory and the ACT will be given their chance to state their claim for being drafted on the biggest stage in Australian sport.

The game was crucial for Nakia Cockatoo last year who returned to play his first game for the season ultimately claiming best on ground honours. He then went on to be drafted by Geelong as a top-10 pick, and interest in the game should be high again with a number of high end Academy products playing including Callum Mills, Jacob Hopper and Matthew Kennedy.

It will be Mills fourth game for the season with the Sydney Swans’ Academy product having an injury interuppted season.

While Hopper and Kennedy both out of the GWS Academy are expected to have strong interest follow them, as both are touted as likely top-10 picks.

It will also give everyone a look at the players who are expected to burst onto the draft scene next year. With clubs keeping a close eye on the NAB AFL Academy squad for future stars.

Small forward Ben Ainsworth, midfielders Jacob Allison, Sam Petrevski-Seton and Will Brodie, and tall defender Harrison Macreadie are considered the candidates as early selections next year.

The game will be broadcast live on AFL.com.au at 10am on grand final Day. The full line-ups for both teams are below.
