After all the talk and bravado we finally got the fight the world wanted to see.

Well, sort of.

The long-awaited battle has been brewing since this year’s ESPY awards, where Ronda Rousey told the hosts “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once” – a dig at the boxer’s dark history of domestic violence.

They’ve been going back and forth ever since, with Mayweather most recently releasing a statement saying:

“Big bank take little bank. Let’s play and see how much money you get. Last time I checked, I was number one on Forbes. She will never be at my status. Keep trying to get publicity.”

Now, thanks to some ingenuity on the part of Youtuber Richie Branson, the UFC and boxing champions finally squared off in a modified version of Street Fighter IV for PC.

Brnason, a musician and game designer, created his own custom Rousey and Mayweather skins for the Street Fighter characters and then “simulated the Mayweather versus Rousey fight with both fighters controlled by the CPU” to ensure a fair fight.

The two warm-up by duelling with some classic Street Fighter characters – Mayweather wails on Abel, and Rousey destroys Blanka.

But you’ll have to watch the video to see who reigns supreme when the two clash in the main event.
