The North London Derby never fails to disappoint. The most recent clash was a game of chances for both sides and a display of both precision passing and goalkeeping abilities.

Harry Kane looks to have resurrected last season’s form, scoring his third goal against Arsenal in three games.

Surprisingly, Arsenal’s ‘attacking’ substitution of Kieran Gibbs for Joel Campbell looked to have paid off, as the Englishman scored his first goal in three years for the Gunners.

Olivier Giroud couldn’t punish Spurs, missing several clear-cut chances, however he was unlucky to hit the crossbar on more than one occasion.

But the draw seems more rewarding for Arsenal than for Tottenham. Tottenham were able to pick up a point away from home once again, but for Arsenal it is vital that they were able to keep up with the pace of Manchester City.

So far this season Arsenal have eight players injured, and attacking options have been limited for the Gunners over the last couple of weeks.

Thankfully, the two-week international break will hopefully see the return of more attacking options with the likes of Aaron Ramsay, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott, as well as the return of right-back Hector Bellerin, who looks to replace the injured Mathieu Debuchy.

After the international break there are seven English Premier League fixtures before the year ends, which looks to put pressure on every team’s fatigue and abilities.

Five of Arsenal’s seven matches are teams below the top 10, with their real tests coming against Manchester City at the Emirates and Southampton at St Mary’s. For the Gunners, their title chances will be determined on the form they have during the Christmas period.

Not only that, Arsenal will have to look to salvage their Champions League campaign, with two must-win games against both Dynamo Zagreb and Olympiakos.

It is vital for them to keep all players fit in order to sustain any chance in keeping up with the title contenders.
