POLL RESULT: Who Roarers want to replace Mitchell Johnson

Following Mitchell Johnson’s retirement from international cricket after the second Test at the WACA, we asked Roarers who they wanted to replace him in the Australian Test team.

The potential replacements we put forward were Peter Siddle, James Pattinson, Pat Cummins, Andrew Fekete, Jackson Bird and Nathan Coulter-Nile.

After almost 400 votes, the results are in.

With 188 of 392 votes (47.9 per cent) James Pattinson is the clear preference as Johnson’s long-term replacement.

Those 47.9 per cent of Roarers will be happy to learn that Pattinson has been brought into the Test squad for the upcoming third Test at the Adelaide Oval, and will vie with Siddle for Johnson’s spot.

Siddle came in second in the poll, with 19.6 per cent of the votes, closely tailed by Cummins, with 17.8 per cent.
