The 2015 AFL Draft is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 24, with proceedings beginning at 5:30pm local time, 6pm AEDT.

HOW TO WATCH THE AFL – LIVE STREAMING, TV AND RADIO

The draft is being held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, after having been held on the Gold Coast for the last three years.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE AFL DRAFT

While the event begins at 6pm (AEDT) the broadcast will not begin until 6:30pm (AEDT), and the actual draft itself is not likely to get underway until some time after that.

The broadcast will occur live on FoxFooty (channel 504) and will also be available for live streaming to mobile devices via the AFL’s Live Pass service.

The broadcast will conclude at 9pm (AEDT).

All 18 clubs will convene for the first time since the close of the AFL season to select new players from the crop of young footballers becoming eligible to play at the highest level.

Carlton have the first pick in the draft, and are widely expected to take key defender Jacob Weitering.

THE COMPLETE 2015 AFL DRAFT ORDER: EVERY CLUB’S PICKS

The Blues have three other picks inside the first 20 selections, at 8, 11 and 19.

Other clubs who will have a big say in the early portion of the draft are Melbourne (picks 3 and 7), Essendon (picks 4, 5, 24 and 25) and Gold Coast (picks 6 and 16).

This year, a new bidding system for father-son and academy played will make significant changes to how the draft proceeds.

The new bidding system means clubs looking to secure father-son and academy prospects will have to pay – possibly with multiple picks – to upgrade their next selection to beats any other comers.

This means the draft order itself will change over the course of the evening, as Sydney, Brisbane and Greater Western Sydney will all move up the board to secure highly rated academy prospects Callum Mills, Jacob Hopper, Matthew Kennedy, Eric Hipwood and Ben Keays.
