I harp on about the Titans because I’m a fan and I just can’t help myself, but we have a serious problem at this club – a lack of star power.

The James Roberts fiasco – and four straight years in the bottom eight – has taught us that the Gold Coast club doesn’t have a winning culture.

And what is being done about it? Nothing!

So why should I pay my hard-earned on a membership and travel an hour each way just to see a makeshift team pulled together because no one will do anything innovative? Either release a transparent strategy or the club will lose any credit they have left.

Do they expect Kane Elgey and Ashley Taylor to combine rookie forces and save the club?

whatever the Titans have planned they are keeping it close to their chest, and as a fan, I’m tired of it. They need to do something drastic to rescue some respect.

I propose the NRL steps in to draw some external star power – be it from another code or the English Super League.

When James Graham arrived at the Bulldogs he was relatively unknown, now he is captain of a reputable club which has attracted many other players of stature.

The Titans need a star player, not one on the decline, which the Gold Coast seems to attract.

Whatever the club is doing, do it now – play the joker, release your strategy to success – so we can relate to the club and be confident giving it our support.
