The 2016 Super Rugby season is fast approaching and I cannot wait! Last season was brilliant with fast flowing rugby and excitement.

In the end, the Hurricanes and the Highlanders battled it out for what would be the Highlanders’ inaugural championship.

However, as good as 2015 was, I still want more. I want more from certain players, to be precise.

Here are some of the players I want more from in 2016.

Israel Folau
Folau didn’t have a bad season, not at all. But it definitely wasn’t the Folau that the rest of Australia remembers from 2013 and 2014. He was strong in defence but it seemed to me he lacked that attacking flair we are all so used to when it comes to him with the ball in hand.

It was quite obvious that even Folau himself was becoming more and more annoyed with not being able to break the line as he did during the 2013 and 2014 rugby seasons.

Chris Feauai-Sautia
Having played Australian schoolboys at the age of 16 in year 10, and then in year 11 and 12, there is no doubt that Sautia is an absolute freak of a rugby player. He is a player that can make or break a game. If you don’t believe me, just go watch his premiere grade finals highlights from this year.

The highlights show just how much damage he can do, but my question is where were all those bulldozing runs and shattering hits in defence in the 2015 Super Rugby season? I would love to see Chris get back to his top form and even get another run in the green and gold jersey.

Wycliff Palu
After finding out that he has re-signed with the Waratahs for a couple more years, I’m going to give Palu another chance. There were one or two games throughout the season where he played very well, but he wasn’t consistent enough if he wants his another crack at the number 8 jersey for the Wallabies.
