Watford are out to claw closer to the top five of the English Premier League table when they host Chelsea. Join The Roar from 6:45am (AEDT) for live scores and commentary of this fixture.

After a successful FA Cup outing against Nottingham Forest in their last fixture – Odion Ighalo found the net late to take them into the next round of the competition – Watford will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Chelsea in front of their home fans.

Ighalo has been good for the Hornets, scoring seven times in his last seven games at Vicarage Stadium.

This fixture will be Watford’s 100th appearance in the Premier League, and the Hornets will be eager to make it one to remember.

After winning the Premier League with authority last season, Chelsea are in 13th position following a terrible start. But they have found form of late, winning their last two fixtures and riding an impressive unbeaten streak.

The Blues also have history on their side, having won seven and lost none of their past nine games against Watford.

The last time these two sides faced off, in December, Diego Costa scored a brace for Chelsea, however they were undone as Gary Cahill scored an unfortunate own goal and Troy Deeney put one away for a 2-all draw.

Prediction
With Eden Hazard and Oscar’s new-found confidence, the Blues should be able to go ten games unbeaten against the Hornets.
