South Africa will be looking to level their home ODI series hosting England at 1-1 when the two teams clash at Port Elizabeth. Join The Roar for live scores from the match beginning at 7:00pm AEDT.

England won the first match via the Duckworth-Lewis method when they recorded an excellent total of 399 runs as the first team to bat.

Jos Buttler was the hero of their innings with an excellent knock of 105 off 76 balls but was ably supported by the likes of Alex Hales and Ben Stokes (both 57), Joe Root (52) and Jason Roy (48). It was the second highest ODI score in history for the English.

South Africa were only able to play 33.3 overs before their innings was brought to a premature end and by that point has amassed 250 runs with the bulk of the work being done by Quinton de Kock with 138 not out off of 96 balls.

The Duckworth-Lewis method determined a 39-run victory in favour of England but South Africa will no doubt be wondering what they might have been able to achieve had the match gone on uninterrupted.

That lack of a certain result from the first meeting between these two sides leads a significant amount of doubt as to which is more likely to taste victory in this match, with South Africa narrowly ahead in the betting markets.

England won the Test series leading into this match 2-1, their first win in a Test match series against South Africa away from home since 2005. However they finished that series in poor form at Centurion, recording a 280-run loss.

The key area for South Africa to look to for victory will be to improve their bowling, but that is a tough ask with Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander still absent. Their batting in the last match was quality but they won’t want to concede another big total.
