Perth find themselves nearly three wins behind Adelaide United in sixth while Wellington are another win behind that.

With ten matches left in the season for either side it’s time for both to make their moves if they are going to have any chance of cracking into the top six before the season ends.

This could be just the game to do it in. A win for the Phoenix would bring them level with Perth on points – though still well behind on goal difference unless they win by nine goals or more.

On the other hand for Perth it would but them two wins ahead of the 8-10 pack and give them a genuine chance of sneaking up on the top six.

Of all the teams in the bottom four they’ve been the most competitive with a goal difference of just -2. Every other side in the bottom four has at least a double-figures goal difference.

Glory’s form has been solid lately especially in comparison to that of the Phoenix who have recorded two draws and six losses in their last eight games, scoring only six goals in that time.

That said Wellington have won the last two matches played between these sides and do come in with the home field advantage.

Prediction: Whether or not Perth are good enough to make finals remains to be seen, but they are good enough to beat Wellington. Perth 2-0.
