A season-defining contest at the Emirates today sees title contenders Arsenal host current Premier League leaders Leicester City. Join The Roar for live scores from 11:00pm AEDT.

City’s dominant 3-1 victory over Manchester City last week proved that they have what it takes to secure what would be a remarkable Premier League title.

From kickoff, Leicester dictated play against City last week and were rewarded with an early goal to Robert Huth, who would go on to score a double.

Even though Manchester City managed to dominate possession throughout the match, Leicester were always in control of the contest and could have easily gone into the break with a two or three goal lead given how effective they were on the counter attack.

Indeed Leicester embarrassed Manchester in the second half, racing out a to 3-nil lead with just over 30 minutes to play in the match. Despite possessing a squad the envy of many teams, Manchester simply had no answers against a side that once again proved that a champion team regularly beats a team of champions.

Based on their performance last week, Leicester are every chance of defeating Arsenal away from home and thus taking a massive step towards clinching a remarkable Premier League title.

Arsenal are coming off a solid 2-0 away win against Bournemouth and will also take great pride from their 5-2 victory over Leicester City away from home earlier in the season.

The Gunners however are prone to losing their way in big matches. When there is plenty on the line, Arsenal invariably crumbles as evidenced by a poor defeat to an out-of-form Chelsea in the Premier League at home.

There is no question that Arsenal play a very entertaining brand of football but Leicester City have them covered when it comes to structure, discipline and mentality.

Indeed there is an aura of composure about Leicester at the moment. This is a team that is not easily stirred and if they take the lead again today, Arsenal could crumble just as easily as Man City did last week given their tendency to panic at home.

While Arsenal start narrow favourites at home, Leicester proved last week that they are the real deal and they are a worthy shot of securing another great win.
