French squash player Mathieu Castagnet produced an incredible retrievel shot to win a crucial point against Englishman Daryl Selby at the Windy City Open, in Chicago.

Castagnet showed great athleticism diving full stretch in order to reach the penultimate shot which landed close to the front wall. He then had to perform a surf life saving training manouvre leaping from his belly to his feet, and sprint towards the far back right corner of the court to save the point.

Castagnet took five huge leaps to cover the distance before playing a powerful fore-hand slice which landed out of Selby’s reach.

Selby could hardly believe what he had just witnessed, placing his hands on his head in shock. He then gave worship to Castagnet as the sweeper cleaned the court.

Castagnet went on to win the match 3-1: 11-7, 11-5, 3-11, 11-9.
