The Australian Olympic Team launched their new uniforms ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics

The verdict is in, we love the new kit launched today in front of hundreds of media personnel on the banks of the Sydney Harbour.

The traditional colours of green and gold dominate the Athlete’s sporting apparel while a crisp white polo t-shirt and a green jacket will be used for the formal occasions and keep our athletes warm in the build-up to their event(s).

Addidas Australia are the official manufacturer of the uniform including the shoes and other apparel. Rio will be their third consecutive Summer Olympic Games as Australia’s official provider. It is not yet known if they will extend their partnership ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Morgan Mitchel modelled the new running threads, she is hoping to win a gold medal in the 400m event on the track:

“This uniform reminds us all what all that training is for” said Holly Lincoln-Smith, Australia’s water polo centre forward.

Women’s basketball player Stephanie Talbot, sprint freestyle swimmer Kyle Chalmers and Australian long jump record holder Brooke Stratton were all smiles in their new uniform:
