Adelaide United and the Western Sydney Wanderers have named extended squads for the A-League grand final on Sunday.

Mark Ochieng and Mate Dugandzic have both been promoted to United’s squad, while Eli Babalj remains unavailable with his season-ending knee injury. The Wanderers have included Jaushua Sotirio and Jacob Pepper in their squad to travel to Adelaide.

Both sides will have to omit two players prior to Sunday’s decider, with unchanged final squads from their semi-finals likely.

The Wanderers were handed a selection scare on Tuesday when Mitch Nichols was cited for a two-fingered salute aimed at travelling Brisbane Roar fans after Western Sydney’s 5-4 semi-final win.

However, with Nichols given until May 4 – three days after the grand final – to respond, the midfielder is set to suit up for the decider after overcoming a muscle injury which forced him off the field in the semi-final.

The Wanderers will be glad to have a full-strength side available to them, with two fewer days to prepare for the grand final than Adelaide.

United, who have been without Babalj for most of the season, will be able to play the same starting XI which so comfortably accounted for Melbourne City 4-1 in their semi-final.

The game kicks off at 4:00pm (AEST) on Sunday, and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports, and on a one-hour delay on SBS Two.
