MATCH RESULT:

Leicester City have not won the Premier League just yet, but they are incredibly close to making history.

Manchester United started the game strong, and were rewarded for their early dominance with Anthony Martial finding space in the box to hit the ball into the back of the net.

United seemed to close to getting a second, but Leicester City were able to prove their resiliency once again.

Just nine minutes later, after absorbing an incredible amount of pressure, Wes Morgan was able to head the ball past David De Gea to equalise for his side.

The game started to intensify after that, as it seemed that Leicester City’s butterflies flew away.

Kasper Schmeichel was called to the plate a few times, but ensured that he did not let another goal in.

The second half seemed to be swinging in favour of Leicester City, it was a back-and-forth affair but the Foxes seemed to be getting the upper hand.

Eventually, the Red Devils got back into the game and continued to dominate possession once again.

Late in the game, disaster struck for Leicester as Danny Drinkwater was awarded a second yellow card for a challenge on Anthony Martial, which should have been a penalty.

The Foxes were able to hang on to secure a point in the 1-all draw, as the Red Devils Champions League hopes took yet another hit.

The pressure is now on Tottenham Hotspur who take on Chelsea in 24 hours time. If the Spurs fail to win, then Leicester City will be crowned the Premier League champions.

The final score at Old Trafford, Manchester United 1, Leicester City 1

Manchester United will be looking to edge closer to a Champions League spot when they host Leicester City, who are one win away from being crowned Premier League champions. Join The Roar from 11:05pm AEST for live scores and commentary.

Riding a four-game winning streak, Manchester United are five points behind Arsenal and Manchester City with a game in hand.

United are coming off a 2-1 win over Everton, but they will need six points from their remaining four games to ensure that the 2015/16 Premier League season is not the lowest points tally they have ever finished with.

Marouane Fellaini scored United’s opener before an own goal by Chris Smalling put Everton back in the match. Anthony Martial ended up being the hero for the Red Devils, finding the net in injury time to give his side the win.

Wayne Rooney will be looking to bag his 100th goal at Old Trafford, if he does so he will join Thierry Henry as the only two men to score a 100 Premier League goals at a single ground.

Leicester City are one win away from completing one of the most incredible football stories in the history of the game.

This time last year, the Foxes were in the relegation zone. Now, coming off an incredible 4-nil win over Swansea City, Leicester need three points to seal the trophy.

Riyad Mahrez, Leonardo Ulloa and Mark Albrighton all found the net to give the Foxes the win at King Power Stadium.

Having won 22-games this season, their highest ever in a Premier League campaign, Leicester sit seven points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur with just three games left to play.

The last time Manchester United and Leicester City played was last November. Jamie Vardy gave the Foxes the lead, with Bastian Schweinseiger equalising right on half time. The match would finish one-all.

Both sides are on winning form, and both sides have plenty to play for. Expect an intense match from start to finish that could go either way.
