The Premier League season is alive for one more day after Leicester failed to get the three points they needed away at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Foxes drew 1-1 at Old Trafford, in a quality match filled with drama, spice and unpredictability. The Foxes now sit eight points clear with two matches to play. They need two more points from their final matches to clinch an unlikely title.

The Foxes went into the game with a seven-point lead over Tottenham with three games to play. Man U, who have been the second-best home team this season after Leicester, started strongly with an early goal to Anthony Martial setting the tone for a high-paced match.

Leicester however struck back immediately in typical fashion, equalising through captain Wes Morgan just nine minutes later.

For the rest of the match both sides went close, with Leicester clearly missing Jamie Vardy and United over reliant on both Wayne Rooney and wunderkind Martial.

The final minutes were tense for Foxes fans, with defensive midfielder Danny Drinkwater being sent off after receiving a second yellow for a lazy push which probably should have been a penalty.

Tottenham are away at Chelsea on Monday evening UK time, needing a win to keep their slim title hopes alive. Anything less than that, and the Premier League trophy is headed to Leicester City for the first time in the history of English football.

Leicester take on Everton at home next week, and will have Vardy back up front after his two-game suspension. They will however be missing midfielder Drinkwater who will miss the next match due to his red card.
