Melbourne Victory will travel to South Korea for the second leg of their Asian Champions League tie against Jeonbuk Motors in need of away goals, after playing out a 1-1 draw in the opening leg at AAMI Park on Tuesday night.
In Archie Thompson’s farewell game, the home side got off to the perfect start, with Besart Berisha opening the scoring after just five minutes.
However, the visitors would peg one back just eight minutes later off the boot of Brazilian midfielder Leonardo Rodrigues Pereira.
A late chance for a brace to Berisha came painfully close to finding the mark, but the early deadlock would prove impossible to break.
