'Never strapped boots on': Spudd Carroll brutally whacks Kent after his NSW Origin team is queried
Spudd hitting Kenty right between the eyes!
He was named by Laurie Daley as the Blues’ development player in an extended 20-man squad but Bryce Cartwright’s State of Origin hopes crashed just an hour later.
Cartwright was forced to withdrawal from the team with a thumb injury. It led many on social media to wonder whether Cartwright’s availability was even checked.

Others couldn’t understand why there was a need for a development player listing in the squad to begin with.
Bryce Cartwright, named as a .@NSWRL 'Development Player'. Really? Is that like the political correct way to say 18th man? ? #Origin #NRL

The 21-year-old Panthers player was earmarked for further representative football after being involved in City’s win against Country earlier in the month.

It comes after Daley was reluctant to give away any positions on the team during the press conference.
“We have a couple of players in doubt, we don’t have to name a team for a while, so we will see how it goes,” Daley said.
