The Oklahoma City Thunder will look to wrap up the Western Conference finals against the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 with plenty of pressure on. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 11am (AEST).

It feels like Game 6 of this series is must win for the Thunder, despite that actually being the case for the Warriors. For the Thunder to lose here, and then go back out on the road with no momentum – that just doesn’t look all that promising.

But Oklahoma will be confident about their chances here. They have been very strong at home during this series, and were for much of the regular season – obviously not quite as good as Golden State or San Antonio but still strong, finishing with a record of 32 and nine.

Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook have been on fire, leading the Thunder from the front with scoring, passing and rebounding, however the revelation of this series has been Steven Adams.

The 22-year old New Zealander has dominated Australian Andrew Bogut in the paint, regularly putting him in foul trouble.

The Warriors on the other hand have been up and down like a yo-yo. They lost Game 1, before winning Game 2 and losing both three and four. They managed to bounce back in Game 5 to send the series to a sixth game, but there are some massive problems for them on both ends of the court.

Their shooting has been a let down when they have lost with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson not firing, and it has affected every single element of their game.

When they have won, it has been those two leading the shooting charge, and it seems to help their defence now allowing the Thunder to get out on the break.

Golden State must also put more energy into rebounding – admittedly that is tough with Bogut spending so much time off the court due to foul trouble – but rebounding will help them get out and run the floor, something they excel at.

Prediction
I have changed my prediction over six or seven times, but with no confidence I’ll have to say the Thunder to get the job done at home. They have worked hard on the glass and look to be the better side.

Thunder by 3 in overtime.
