Fox Sports are reporting the New South Wales Blues game plan for State of Origin 1 was leaked to the Queensland Maroons, with a classic case of not using a whiteboard duster!

Apparently the Blues were using the Maroons dressing room during the week as State of Origin livery was added to their own room, and they wrote their game plan on the whiteboard.

Anyone heard of a projector? Come on fellas.

Well, of course, it was only a matter of hours before the Maroons staff walked into ‘their’ dressing room and discovered the Blues notes left there.

It is understood the notes were divided into three separate sections – one of which were dedicated to Queensland targets, and yep, you guessed it – Cooper Cronk and Johnathan Thurston were there. The other two columns were all about the Blues and how they were going to play the game.

When quizzed on the issue but Fox Sports reporter Sean Lawson, Justin Hodges said it was pretty silly.

“I heard something similar. But if that happened it’d be pretty silly. You don’t want to give away your gameplan. If you look at guys like Thurston and Cronk, those are guys you always target. And it’s vice-versa – Queensland will target Adam Reynolds and James Maloney as well. It goes both ways.”

He also acknowledged that it might have been a decoy, although at this stage it is unclear if anyone other than the Maroons staff saw the notes.

The Roar has come across a leaked version of the game plan, which we present to you to determine its veracity.

Regardless of whether the notes have been seen by the Maroons or not, and whether it was a decoy or not it adds another element of interest to the State of Origin series.

What do you think Roarers? Decoy or did Laurie and his crew seriously forget to rub their notes off the board?
