Michael Bisping has done what many considered impossible or close to, defeating Luke Rockhold in the first round of their fight to claim the UFC middleweight title.

After ten years of waiting for a title shot Bisping didn’t was this opportunity, knocking out Rockhold with a left hook and right hand in the first round.

“Listen, I’ve got to be humble, even though I want to be an a——,” Bisping said.

“I am so happy right now. I started fighting when I came out of my mother’s womb. I really have always been a fighter. It’s gotten me in trouble, but there’s nothing I did better in life than fighting.

“I am an average guy. This is my dream. Nobody was taking this away from me. Two weeks’ notice. Two days’ notice. Two hours’ notice. Two minutes’ notice. I’ll fight anyone.”

Bantamweight championship: Dominick Cruz def. Urijah Faber via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 49-46) to retain the UFC bantamweight championship.

Dominick Cruz dominated the majority of the fight to ensure that he ended this nine-year rivalry with Urijah Faber on top, retaining his UFC title in the process.

Featherweight: Max Holloway def. Ricardo Lamas via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Max Holloway dominated Ricardo Lamas in a highly entertaining fight to earn his ninth-straight win inside the octagon since 2013.

Middleweight: Dan Henderson def. Hector Lombard via knockout (head kick & elbow) 1:27, R2.

Both men landed big shots, but Dan Henderson managed to weather the storm in the first round to come back and knock out Hector Lombard with a vicious head kick followed by an elbow.

Lightweight: Dustin Poirier def. Bobby Green via knockout (punches) 2:53, R1.

Dustin Poirier dominated Bobby Green on the feet, stayed patient, and was rewarded with a huge knockout to open up the main card.

Featherweight: Brian Ortega def. Clay Guida via knockout (knee) 4:40, R3
Lightweight: Beneil Dariush def. James Vick via knockout (punches) 4:16, R1
