Croatia and Spain meet in the final match of the groups stage of Euro 2016 for both sides. Join The Roar for live scores from the match, starting from 5am AEST.

Croatia come into the match needing a win or a draw to guarantee their place in the knockout stage. They’re currently three points ahead of Czech Republic in third, so even just the single point from a draw will make second place a guarantee.

However, a win would see them jump above Spain and finish on the top of the group, which would be a significant achievement – so they’ll no doubt be doing all they can to reach that goal.

Spain have qualification for the knockout stage locked up, with two wins from two starts so far, there’s no possible way that they can fall short and so long as they get a draw or a win here they will finish on top in this group.

Czech Republic and Turkey will play in the other remaining match in this group, concurrently with this one. Those two sides have just one draw and no wins between them, so there’s no doubting that this is the battle of the two better teams in this group.

So far Croatia have a 1-0 win over Turkey and a 2-2 draw with the Czech Republic on their ledger, the latter being a significant disappointment after they let slip a 2-0 lead.

Spain took until the 87th minute to put away a win against the Czech Republich in their first match of the tournament, but were then significantly more dominant against Turkey with a 3-0 win including a brace from Alvaro Morata.

Prediction
With Spain having qualification locked up, they might take it easy a bit here. That said, they wouldn’t want to let top spot slip. A draw seems like a realistic chance.
