Blues Origin predicted team: Maguire set to overhaul squad in search of winning combination
New coach Michael Maguire is considering as many as 50 players for the State of Origin series opener with not even captain James Tedesco…
There have been three changes in the NSW Blues and Queensland Maroons teams for State of Origin Game 2, with the Blues making two forced changes and Queensland making one.
It’s been something of a disrupted preparation for the Blues, but with more than a couple of days to get their preparation in order before the crucial game tonight, everything has been finalised.
The teams are prepped and ready to go, and there will be no excuses for either side on what will be a good Suncorp Stadium pitch.

New South Wales Blues team for Origin 2:

Interchange: 11. Greg Bird, 16. David Klemmer, 17. Andrew Fifita, 18. Jack Bird
The two forced changes for the Blues are the loss of second rower Boyd Cordner, and then his replacement Wade Graham a bit over a week ago, and the withdrawal of Josh Morris due to a groin injury he suffered at training. Dylan Walker, who had to play from the bench in Game 1, will start in his preferred position of centre.
Tyson Frizell will play from the bench while Greg Bird starts the game on the edge.*
For Queensland, Nate Myles is the victim of injury, and Jacob Lillyman replaces him. It will be a loss for Queensland, with Myles being a stalwart for the better part of a decade, but Lillyman has been a long-time bench and fringe player, and has shown good temperament at Origin level in the past. Jack Bird will play from the bench.
Aside from that, both teams are unchanged and will be brimming with confidence that they can take out the match tonight.
What do you think Roarers? Which team is primed to make the best of the conditions tonight?
*In a late change, Frizell has been named to start the game.
