Ukraine‘s run at Euro 2016 looks to be coming to an end with a match against Poland. Join The Roar for live scores from the match, starting from 2am AEST.

The Ukrainians haven’t had a great time so far in France, they’ve played two matches against Germany and Northern Ireland and have copped 2-0 losses in both of them.

They’re yet to score a goal themselves and it will no doubt be a major disappointment for the team if they finish up in the tournament without having found the back of the net even once.

Their tournament is effectively over today, with the chances of making it to the knockout stage a virtual impossibility.

They would need something in the area of a four-or-more-goal win today to be even the slightest chance of going on, and given their difficulty scoring that just doesn’t seem to be on the cards.

Poland on the other hand have it all still to play for – they’re sitting second in Group C right now but it’s a tight race and they could still finish on top of the group or fall short of qualification depending on how the results play out.

A win today would guarantee them their place in the knockout stage, as would a draw.

A loss, and it’ll be up to the match between Germany and Northern Ireland to see whether they can remain in second or find themselves crossing their fingers and hoping to make it through from third.

A German win or a draw would seem them still qualify but they could be leapfrogged by a Northern Ireland win if they fail to gain any points themselves.

The matches will be played concurrently, so there’s sure to be a bit of drama.

Poland’s record from the tournament so far is a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland and 0-0 draw with Germany.

Prediction
The motivation to win and make it to the knockout stage should see the Polish rise above the Ukrainians, who sadly look destined to finish the tournament without a goal.

Poland 1-0
