Iceland will meet Austria in a match that will decide whether or not the two teams progress. Join The Roar for live scores from the match, starting from 2am AEST.

This is the last match of the group stage for both teams and in what has been a very even Group F there is still room both sides to finish anywhere between the top and the bottom.

Iceland currently sit second in the group but there is only one point between them and Austria who are on the bottom of the group.

Overnight at the Euros:
» Ireland stun Italy
» Sweden heading home after loss to Belgium
» Hungary and Portugal even in six-goal thriller

A win from Iceland here would see them leapfrog Hungary for top spot – provided that Hungary lose to Portugal, or that Hungary draw but Iceland win by three or more goals.

However a loss for them would likely mean that their tournament is over as they would sink to third place and without a win for the tournament likely not have a good enough record to crack into the knockout stage as one of the four best third-placers.

A draw would probably still see them advance, depending on other results.

For Austria it’s simple – win or be damned. A draw or a loss will without a doubt be then end of their tournament, a win would make qualification for the knockout stages a virtual certainty.

Iceland so far have produced impressive results with draws against much larger nations in Portugal and Hungary, putting up a 1-1 scoreline in both matches.

Austria, with a 0-2 loss to Hungary and a 0-0 draw with Portugal, are yet to score a goal in this tournament. Their loss to Hungary was the only match in this group so far that has not been a drawn result.

Prediction
While Austria will head in as the slight favourites in betting markets, the Icelanders have been impressive enough in the tournament to suggest they can claim an upset.

Iceland 1-0
