Belgium have one mission: don’t let that happen. A draw would see them guarantee an appearance in the knockout stage, while a win would give them a chance at jumping into the top spot of the table.
For that to happen though they’d need Italy to lose to Republic of Ireland and have the combined margin across both matches be at least three goals – so odds are that there’s no real difference between a draw and win here for them.
Coming into this match with a 0-2 loss to Italy and a 3-0 win over Republic of Ireland on their ledger, the Belgians have tasted both sweet and sour so far in this tournament.
Prediction
Both teams have a reason to want to win, but the Belgians have more talent. They should win this one fairly comfortably.
