Adam Coleman could make his Wallabies debut in the third Test against England on Saturday night, having been named in the final matchday 23.
He has been will be named on the bench, with Dean Mumm dropped from the side to make way. Taqele Naiyaravoro will also play.
The lock made his Super Rugby debut in 2013, called up for the NSW Waratahs when they were missing a number of international players.
He played only one match for the Waratahs, but moved to the Western Force in 2014 and has since made 26 appearances for them.
The 24-year-old was born in Hobart and will become the first Tasmanian-born Wallaby in nearly a century.
Coleman comes from a rich Rugby background, the son of former Tonga captain Pau’u Afeaki, the cousin of Tonga’s Inoke Afeaki, New Zealand’s Ben Afeaki, and former Wallaby Rodney Blake.
The Wallabies will be looking to win back some respect when they take on the English at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night at 8pm.
The Australians have lost the first two Tests in the series and while the series is now unsalvageable, it’s still possible to avoid a whitewash and restore at least a little pride.
However the match will also provide the Wallabies the opportunity to blood some fresh talent, with the debut of Coleman over the experienced Dean Mumm being a clear example.
