Ahoy Roarers! I’m back to fatten up your wallets, hopefully, for the Spring Carnival, by previewing the quaddies at Flemington this Saturday.
I will start off with the early quaddie, with the legs being races two through to five.
Flemington Early Quaddie
Leg One – Rivette Series Final 1600m
Not sure where the speed comes from. I suggest 1 Euro Angel will take advantage of the inside gate and look to be somewhere near the speed. The race really evolves around this filly. She has had the break between runs, but was tuned up with a lovely jump out last Friday at Flemington.
If she brings her best, she just wins. Odds aren’t great, but there is no opposition.

Leg Two – VRC-CRV Cup Tour Trophy 2000m
Speed here should come from 3 Sandhill Chief and former kiwi 2 Survived. 5 Nesbo is third up now and should be ready to fire. He looks the one to beat. Also including 1 Killarney Kid, 4 Magic Consol, 9 Jimivag and 11 Turf Crusher in a really open race.
Suggestion: 1-4-5-9-11
Leg Three – Taj Rossi Series Final 1600m
1 Moshway should have no trouble leading here from the inside gate with Gauci. There was a bit to like about the win of 2 Trenchant last time out and only has to overcome the tricky draw to go close. 5 Cobbmore and 6 Fast ‘N’ Rolling look the key threats.
Suggestion: 2-5-6
Leg Four – All Victorian Sprint Series Final 1200m:
9 Rich Jack has the speed to lead these, along with 3 Voodoo Lad, who looks the one to beat after an impressive win three weeks back at the Valley. He does look the one to beat, but I’ll cover myself with 8 Kievann and 10 Ruettiger.
Suggestion: 6-8-10

Flemington Quaddie
Leg One – Banjo Patterson Series Final 2600m
3 Araldo Junior does look to get the lead on a platter and on that basis, he’ll be hard to beat. Weight is the issue. I’ll include him alongside 2 Master Of Arts, 4 Crafty Cruiser and 7 Wells, who is gearing up for the jumps but will be very competitive here.
Suggestion: 2-3-4-7
Leg Two- VRC-CRV Winter Championship Final 1600m
They have the potential to go silly in front here courtesy of 2 Kenjorwood and 7 Onpicalo. If they do, then a horse like 3 Chance To Dance just looks so well placed. His run against the bias at the Valley was huge. Tempted to stand him one out, but I’ll cover with Kenjorwood, along with 1 Jacquinot Bay and 13 Del Prado.
Suggestion: 1-2-3-13
Leg Three – A.R. Creswick Series Final 1200m
11 El Dorado Mine should kick forward, as should 10 Crystal Dreamer, but the race really is all about 1 Odyssey Moon. Beat the open sprinters last time and now returns to his own age. Only bad luck will beat him IMO.

Leg Four – Leilani Series Final 1400m
Doesn’t seem to be much speed engaged here. The bolter down the bottom, 11 Belaruski, can take it up with Gauci aboard. 2 Vibrant Rouge was excellent last weekend at Caulfield, 1 She’s Clean was luckless here a fortnight back and 5 Telopea is in ripping form for Darren Weir.
Suggestion: 1-2-5
