The weather at the Sydney Olympic park will be clear and chilly for State of Origin Game 3, making for perfect running rugby league conditions as the Queensland Maroons attempt to clean sweep the New South Wales Blues on Wednesday night.

The radar is suggesting some clouds will be present throughout the day, but there’s absolutely no chance of rain, with the bureau of meteorology predicting 0% precipitation for the day. A slow, brisk 10km/h wind will keep the spectators shivering from kick-off, but the spectacle of Origin will keep them warm and in good spirits.

The humidity could play a small role, making for greasy/sweaty conditions with 45% predicted. We could see some ball handling errors throughout the game, but we should see more open play than in Game 1, which was a 6-4 result.

NSW Blues captain Paul Gallen will play his final Origin game at ANZ Stadium, giving his fans one final chance to see him in action and bid him farewell:

Basically, there are absolutely no excuses for either side not to play entertaining footy in Game 3. With the Blues injecting some fresh faces into their team who like to throw the ball around, including Jack Bird, Wade Graham and James Tedesco, expect to see some points out of the Blues.

The weather will have no effect on the game. Who’s your tip?
