Ahoy Roarers! The roughies were out in force at Flemington last Saturday and we couldn’t snare a Quaddie, but hopefully we can bounce back this Saturday.

I’ll be previewing the quaddies at Caulfield this Saturday, starting off with the early Quaddie, with the legs being races two through to five:

Caulfield early Quaddie

Leg One – ACJC Racing 101 Handicap 1200m:

7 Powerful Story is drawn horribly so I suspect she will roll forward, and 4 Anatola can be much closer too provided she jumps cleanly unlike last time out. I like 7 Powerful Story at a price and down in the weights. But it’s a tough race.

Suggestion: 1-2-3-4-7-14

Leg Two – Wilson Medic One Handicap 2000m:

5 Prince Of Babylon has the speed to lead here, while 8 Anzio, who raced at the Valley on Wednesday, can also press forward. The 2000m race here a fortnight back looks the main form reference, with the two best runs being 1 Hursley and 2 Fearless Leader.

Suggestion: 1-2

Leg Three – Rockmount Pre-Training Handicap 2000m:

Few on speed horses drawn wide, so I think they will make 1 Longeron work with the weight, but I am sure Dunn will slot him in with cover, or he could just take it up. This looks a race where there could be an upset.

Suggestion: 1-3-5-6

Leg Four – TAB Supports Jockeys Trust Handicap 1400m:

6 Little Bita Spunk with the claim for Payne should have little trouble kicking up and holding the lead. 1 Mr Individual is the class runner but can be very frustrating to follow. Including several others.

Suggestion: 1-2-3-4-5-10

$50 investment= 17.36% of the dividend if successful

Caulfield Quaddie

Leg One – National Jockeys Trust Plate (78) 1400m:

8 Fast Approaching sat wide no cover on a hot speed fresh. I think she’ll lead here with perhaps 3 Hard Call rolling forward first up. 9 Camdus was a ripping run here first up and should take some beating.

Suggestion: 1-4-5-6-7-9

Leg Two – LUCRF Supports Jockeys Trust Plate 1400m:

5 Majestic Duke, 7 Sadaqa and 9 The New Boy should all press forward and make sure this is a fast run race. 3 Duke Of Brunswick and 8 Ulmann look the main two, but 4 Lord Durante back in trip could be value.

Suggestion: 3-4-8-9

Leg Three – PFD Food Services Sir John Monash Stakes 1100m:

13 Wild Rain, 3 Lord Of The Sky and 9 Tudor look the speed here. If Wild Rain runs up to her jump outs, I think she will bolt in. I’m standing her out. (Editor’s note: brave!!)

Suggestion: 13

Leg Four – Mypunter.com Handicap 1200m:

8 Beirut has been in fab form since joining the Henry Dwyer yard and though rising sharply in depth, she looks the leader and with only 54.5kg on her back, she is a deserved favourite. 1 Vibrant Rouge will be my bet though. Her two runs this time in have been fabulous.

Suggestion: 1-2-3-4-6-8

$50 investment= 34.72% of the dividend if successful
