Hey Roarers! Since there is no major Group races to analyse, I will be running my eye over the Flemington Quaddies, with the early Quaddie being races two through to five and the regular Quaddie being races six through to nine.

Flemington early Quaddie

First Leg – Henry Bolte Handicap (1800 metres)
Very small field to kick off proceedings here with only the six runners going around here. I think four of those runners are winning hopes but I will be only including three runners.

Expecting 1 Kenjorwood from barrier one to push forward as he usually does and comes in well with the three kilogram claim for Ben Allen bringing him to 57.5 kilos.

2 Onpicalo is another one who likes to roll forward and I’m expecting him to do so coming across from barrier six he is also aided with a claim with Michael Dee taking the ride bringing him down to 54.5 kilos.

5 Pin Your Hopes is the other runner I am including this gelding has been racing super and is looking for his third straight win, he also gets the two kilo claim for Ben Thompson.

(Editor’s note: When all horses are claiming, no horse is!)

Suggestions: 1-2-5

Second Leg – K A Morrison Handicap (2000m)

This leg looks a bit tougher on paper but I’m pretty confident we can get the job done here. There’s nine runners to go around here, five of them are winning hopes I would think.

1 Straight Jacket has been trialling well over the jumps and won his last trial on the 12th of July by seven lengths, I generally like it when stayers often trial over the jumps to keep their mind ticking over and on the job, comes in with a two kilo claim for leading apprentice Dylan Dunn bringing him down to 57 kilos.

2 Firehouse Rock has also been trialling over the jumps and last start just missed at Sale when a narrow 2nd, hasn’t won for awhile but this looks a winnable race for him.

4 Name The Day has been flying his last two races narrowly going down to Landslide and Pin Your Hopes respectively, leading rider Craig Williams takes the ride so should be right in the finish.

6 Calibrate has been racing well and gets the claim for Michael Dee so I would include that.

7 Triple Gold has been racing well against some handy opposition and with Dwayne Dunn on I’m also including it.

Third Leg – Wilson Medic One Rising Stars Final (1800m)
Ten runners to go around here and I’ve narrowed it down to two winning hopes.

1 Yulong Baby narrowly missed last start when beaten by Pin Your Hopes at Caulfield, third up and up in distance is a big plus along with the claim for Michael Dee bringing her down to 58.5 kilos.

3 Daniela Rosa has been racing well going for her third win on the trot, last start she defeated another talented horse in Euro Angel, Jake Bayliss takes the ride and gets two kilos off bringing her down to 54.5 kilos.

Suggestions: 1-3

Last Leg – TAB/ATA Trainers’ Trust Handicap (1400m)
The last leg and the hardest leg, so we go wide here.

1 Deal With It has been racing really well and is shooting for her third straight win defeated Four Sisters and Just Stellar at her last start both who are in this race, gets the claim for Michael Dee which is a plus.

2 Kinshachi Craig Williams takes the ride and has been in good form.

4 Codebreak gets the claim for Dylan Dunn, has been racing well and ran okay behind Dulverton last start at Sandown so include that as your wildcard as a rough hope.

7 Four Sisters, a filly from the Mick Kent stable, who looks to have plenty of ability and was narrowly beaten last start by Deal With It, gets the two kilos off for Jake Bayliss.

8 Just Stellar comes out of the same form lines as Four Sisters and Deal With It as she finished third in that race, Dwayne Dunn takes the ride from Craig Williams who rode her last start.

9 Stylemaker on a quick backup here after running last week at Caulfield has to be some hope.

Suggestions: 1-2-4-7-8-9

Caulfield Quaddie

First Leg – Bruce Gadsden Handicap (1200m)
Interesting first leg of the Quaddie here and I’m very keen to go one out on a runner here.

2 Voodoo Lad strikes a pretty weak race here and drops back to a benchmark 90 after a last start 2nd to Ruettiger, Michael Dee takes the ride from Dean Yendall and takes 1.5 kilos of his back.

Suggestion: 2

Second Leg – Bitalli Handicap (2500m)

Expecting 2 Bold Sniper and 4 Araldo Junior to push forward here as they have been their last couple of runs both are racing well and both get the claim so that’s a big tick.

3 Kapour is on the quick back up after running last week at Caulfield was an even effort last time out, up in distance is a plus as it has won out to 2400 meters and is racing like it wants this trip.

6 Black Tomahawk returns after a second placing last time out in Adelaide where he carrier a big weight drops back down to 54 kilos and Craig Williams takes the ride.

Third Leg – Flemington Event Staff Handicap (1600m)
This looks like a tough leg of the quaddie but I will do my best to find the winner.

7 Spreadeagled finished fourth last start at Moonee Valley behind Turbo Street only beaten 2.6 lengths has the class so I’m expecting him to bounce back also gets the three kilo claim for Beau Mertens.

8 Victory Downs has been racing in great form over in Adelaide winning his last start, Dwayne Dunn to take the ride.

11 Volcanic Ash ran well in Adelaide finishing 2nd two starts back but failed last time out at Moonee Valley behind Turbo Street, Damien Oliver takes over from Beau Mertens.

12 Jerilderie Letter this talented Tasmanian gelding has been racing well since coming across from Tasmania but just hasn’t had any luck, Anthony Darmanin who has ridden him for a few of his wins in Tasmania takes the ride from Steven Arnold.

13 Award Of Merit won well in Adelaide before coming to Flemington and finishing 4th behind Royal Rapture, Craig Williams stays on here.

Last Leg – VRC Recognition Handicap (1100m)

Another tough way to end the day here, I will be doing my best again to find the winner!

1 Badajoz beat a handy field at Randwick last start and makes the trip down to Flemington with Craig Williams taking the ride.

5 Runson raced out of his depth last time out at Flemington although he wasn’t beaten that far away and he had excuses, went back to Geelong last start and won well so his confidence should be high, Daniel Moor stays on.

6 Ability appears to have plenty of ability returns here after a bit of a freshen up, looked good winning a trial at Pakenham on the 4th of July and Dwayne Dunn takes the ride.

10 Tyrannize faded fresh but did have a poor recovery rate, won a good race here second up last preparation and Damien Oliver takes the ride. 11 World Of Hope had genuine forgive runs before bouncing back with a fast finishing 2nd at Moonee Valley to one that looks to have ability in Yasnat, 1100 meters suits and Beau Mertens gets the three kilo claim.
