You’d be hard-pressed to find two teams with more contrasting fortunes to this point in the season. The Sharks are absolutely flying at the moment – they’ve got a 15-2 record and have won their last 14 matches in a row, while the Knights have claimed only a single win for the season to date, and their second appears to still be some distance away.

If they get the win here the Sharks will return to the top of the ladder, a win clear of the Melbourne Storm, who moved temporarily to the top last night with a win over the Roosters.

While the Storm have a significantly better points difference than the Sharks, they have copped three losses so far this season and will have to hope the Sharks lose at least one more match before the close of the season if they’re to finish on top.

Of course, given that last time these two sides met the Sharks won in an incredible 64-0, they could leapfrog the Storm on points difference as well if they put up another similar result.

The Knights come into this match having lost Jake Mamo and Daniel Saifiti to suspension, as well as Robbie Rochow and Sione Mata’utia to injury. Dane Gagai returns, and the likes of Pauli Pauli, Jacob Saifiti and Mickey Paea are all in.

The Sharks have made only one change, with Andrew Fifita returning and Fa’amanu Brown making way.

Prediction
If there’s a team in the league right now that can stop the Sharks juggernaut from rolling on, it’s probably not the Knights.
