Ahoy Roarers! The roughies were out in force at Flemington on Saturday, including the pest that is Nadeem Lass, but hopefully we can bounce back this Saturday.

I’ll be previewing the quaddies at Caulfield this Saturday, starting off with the early quaddie, with the legs being races two through to five:

Caulfield Early Quaddie

Leg One – Legacy Badge 2016 Appeal Handicap (84) 1600m:

Savannah Moon has led at her past two for decent results and despite the drop back to the mile, I think she’ll lead them up at a pretty even to slow tempo. Choice was a real eye catcher at her Australian debut and I am keen on her.

Suggestion: 1-3-5-7-9

Leg Two – Ramleigh Springs The Place To Be Handicap (84) 1600m:

A couple of veterans in Sadaqa and Great Esteem usually press forward and I expect nothing different here. If Leica Day shows natural improvement from his first up run, he just about wins. But I’ll cover myself as you’ll see with the selections.

Suggestion: 4-7-8-9-10

Leg Three – MRC Foundation Handicap 1100m:

They have the potential to go silly here with a stack of runners having the potential to go forward. Atmospherical is the class runner and her first up effort was strong. Interesting to watch Cana. Her jumpouts have been encouraging.

Suggestion: 1-5-6-8-9

Leg Four – KS Environmental Vain Stakes 1100m:

Despite making his Victorian debut, I expect Russian Revolution to use his gate speed and lead. He has built up an impressive record in a short space of time and I think he’ll win. Only other winning hope is Artie Dee Two, who was fabulous during the Winter in two runs.

Suggestion: 5-6

Caulfield Quaddie

Leg One – Winslow Group Stakes 1100m:

Speed looks aplenty, especially drawn near the inside. If they go hard as expected, then the race suits up for Concealer, who has already had early support in the market. Sword Of Light was solid first up but has drawn a potentially nasty barrier in one.

Suggestion: 1-2-5-9-13

Leg Two – P.B. Lawrence Stakes 1400m:

The Cleaner will have to dig up to hold out Lord Of The Sky, and those two have the potential to go really hard. The obvious is Mahuta, but I have enormous respect for Miss Rose De Lago. She has trialled sensationally in recent weeks.

Suggestion: 2-11-12-14

Leg Three – Lister Regal Roller Stakes 1200m:

We saw last start that Voodoo Lad hates being restrained, so I expect Parnham to let him stride with the minimum weight. I think class comes to the fore here and I can only see Palentino or Fast ‘N’ Rocking saluting.

Suggestion: 1-2

Leg Four – Beveridge Williams Plate (78) 1400m:

Magicus took the trail last start and it proved to be the wrong move. Williams won’t make that decision I suspect; I think he’ll let this horse stride freely. Vostok was run off his legs first up but the jump out prior was sharp.

Suggestion: 5-6-8-10-15
