The Parramatta Eels will be looking for a rare win when they host the struggling St George Illawarra Dragons at Pirtek Stadium on Monday night. Join us on The Roar from 7pm (AEST) to follow all of the action and join in on our live blog.

Everyone knows the drama that has surrounded the Parramatta Eels in 2016 but to their credit they have continued to front up each week and fight hard.

Although they will be just counting down the days until this season is done and they can shift their sights towards 2017, the Eels will fancy themselves a chance to score a win this week.

With some handy inclusions in their side this week, expect the Eels to come out firing.

There is no doubting that Brad Arthur will have his side primed and ready as they look to finish the year well and build some sort of momentum heading into next season.

With finals now out of the question, the St George Illawarra Dragons will be looking to the future in their final two games of the season.

After a disappointing year, pressure has mounted on a number of people at the Dragons so they will be looking for a couple of wins to round out the year and ease some of that pressure.

Paul McGregor has made some interesting moves at the selection table this week as he looks to the future.

With so many questions circling over the future of a number of the players and the coach, expect the Dragons to come out with a point to prove in this game.

In terms of selection for the Eels this week Brad Takairangi returns in the centres for Vai Toutai while Beau Scott and Tepai Moeroa also return in the back row.

Peni Terepo and Kenny Edwards drop back to the bench as a result and Danny Wicks starts at prop in place of the suspended Rory O’Brien.

The Dragons have made a few changes this week also as Benji Marshall has been dropped with Drew Hutchison named at halfback while Tim Lafai makes his return in the centres for the suspended Taane Milne.

Russell Packer is also out, with Leeson Ah Mau named to start and Jacob Host set to feature from the interchange.

The battle of the fullbacks will no doubt be a good one in this game as the Eels speedster Bevan French will be looking to outperform Josh Dugan of the Dragons.

Another intriguing battle will be in the back row as Tepai Moeroa and Manu Ma’u of the Eels go head to head with Joel Thompson and Tyson Frizell of the Dragons.
