After another terrible week last week I’m back again and here to find some more winners! As we get deeper into spring time the good horses and great racing just keep flowing.

This weekend’s action comes to us from Flemington with the Makybe Diva Stakes the highlight along with a great supporting card. I will be previewing the Early quaddie which will be races two through to five and the regular quaddie which will be races six through to nine as usual, lets get stuck into it!

Early quaddie:

First leg – Cadp D’Antibes Stakes 1100m
1 Missrock resuming here, won a group three before her spell and the horse who ran third in that race had placed behind Omei Sword and her run here on Cup Day was good with only Concealer having faster splits that day.

3 Happy Event comes down from Queensland off an eight-week break and has looked good winning her past couple. 4 My Country resumes here and had a sound trial three weeks ago has won her past couple before a spell and has good form around Defcon.

6 So Serene won four weeks ago first up from a spell and had good closing splits here in March off a modest tempo. 7 Kentucky Miss comes down from Sydney and has some solid form at her last start she finished two lengths off Star Turn.

9 Super Too another one from Sydney won in tough style fresh before bolting in last start. 12 Ariaz good return last start where she closed late and was narrowly beaten by Money Chaser who led all the way on a leaders track. 15 Getemhel bolted in on debut on soft ground at Geelong, harder here but can win.

1 Good Standing did not quicken when fresh but found the line well enough, 1400 metres suits. 2 Seaburge solid return off a nice trial, won the VRC Sires here at this trip. 3 Tessera wasn’t in the right part of the track last time out but ran home solidly beat Defcon easily second up last prep.

6 Detective won his maiden well and was good here in the Sires in March. 12 Zunbaqa went to 1400 metres in Adelaide and won easily then led here and kicked to win quite comfortably.

Suggestions: 1-2-3-6-12

Third leg – The Sofitel 1400m
3 Tashbeeh was sound first up and finished off the race strongly, Tashbeeh then came out and ran well in WFA company finishing fourth to Black Hart Bart. 5 Ulmann has been racing in consistent form this prep with a couple of wins he then went to Adelaide on a heavy track where he finished fifth in a strong race and hit the line nicely.

9 Prince of Brooklyn beaten by a smart horse at Caulfield last start and has been in consistent form this prep. 11 Bon Aurum had a good return at Caulfield when first up where he finished third not far off the winner Lord Barrington.

Suggestions: 3-5-9-11

Last leg- Danehill Stakes 1200m
1 Defcon won well last start at Caulfield beating Highland Beat when first up, coming away from them strongly late. 3 Saracino from New Zealand beat the older horses easily when fresh and the runner up had some good form behind it. 4 Archives resumes here and has shown plenty of talent, has trialled well recently.

Quaddie:

First leg – Bobbie Lewis Quality 1200m
1 Under the Louvre rocketed fresh and was narrowly beaten and is always consistent and in the money. 2 Xtravagant resumes here only dry track defeat was in the Australian Guineas when had excuses, can ran a good time and has trialled super. 6 Kinglike resumes off a quiet trial, placed in the TJ Smith fresh last prep and won Danehill last year at this track. 8 Santa Ana Lane good return without any luck and fitter, 1200 metres suits and can win. 10 Faatinah resumes here beat Sooboog last prep and ran well in the Goodwood after that, has trialled super.

Suggestions: 1-2-6-8-10

Second leg – PFD Food Services Makybe Diva Stakes 1600m
3 Black Heart Bart dominant in Memsie when backed as if unbeatable, the mile is no issue and is a genuine group 1 star. 7 He or She getting out to his right distance range, found the line first up quite solidly and normally flies second up. 10 Palentino was sound first up and then made good ground in the Memsie, won guineas third up last prep. 12 Rising Romance was no match for BHB last start but looks to have come back in great order, had no luck second up last prep and ran well in this last year.

1 Badawiya resumes here and won the Kewney brilliantly fresh in March, class act. 2 Don’t Doubt Mamma good closing late when fresh off a slow speed, won Vanity here and was good in the Kewney here last prep. 3 Catch a Fire was a good winner fresh and Vibrant Rouge then franked the form, won well second up last prep.

4 Thames Court sat on a slow speed last start when resuming and beat them all bar Ocean Embers. 6 Jessy Belle never got a crack at them last start and has good second up form, loves it here. 8 Metaphorical resumes here, ran well first up last prep and 1400 metres suits. 12 Telopea ran well last start weaving off a slow speed and was coming off a seven week break, 1400 metres suits.

15 French Emotion had no luck fresh but found the line nicely, suited at 1400 metres and is good when second up.

Suggestions: 1-2-3-6-8-12-15

Last leg – Spring is the Season Handicap 1700m
Only going with the one runner here and I am confident he can get the job done this time Dwayne Dunn sticks with him and both of his runs this prep have been solid and without luck. 13 Pilote D’essai has drawn a touch wide but I think Dunn will have him in a good spot and 1700 metres suits.
