The defending premiers North Queensland Cowboys will meet the Brisbane Broncos in a grand final replay in what is shaping up as one of the games of the finals series.

Here’s everything you need to know so you can live stream the game online and watch it on TV.

Date: Friday 16th of September
Time: 7:55pm (AEST)

How to watch on TV

Finals coverage of the NRL has been synonymous with Channel Nine for years and years now, but Fox Sports has joined the party this year, gaining joint rights for all the finals action.

The Nine Network will have live coverage of the game on Nine and Nine HD from 7:30pm, with just under half an hour of pre-match coverage before kickoff.

Fox Sports will begin their pre-game rundown at 7pm on Fox Sports 1, taking you all the way up to kickoff at 7:55pm. They will also have a post-game wrap-up after the match on Fox Sports 1, with a 40-minute round-up straight after the game.

As always, check your local guides to confirm the coverage in your region.

How to stream online

For those who can’t get to a TV but still want to watch the game, there are a couple of options available.

Foxtel and Fox Sports are again a major player, providing the option of streaming across most major devices through their Foxtel Play and Foxtel Go apps.

You will need a Foxtel account to access the Fox Sports coverage online, and that will set you back $50 a month once you’ve added on the necessary sports package to your subscription.

You can, however, get access to Foxtel Play with a free two-week trial just in time for footy finals.

The other main option for rugby league fans without a TV is the NRL’s Digital Pass, which shows each and every game of the season. The Digital Media Pass also covers a lot of original content on the app that isn’t available on TV, which is worth checking out for the particularly avid NRL fans out there.

NRL Digital Pass does have a one-week free trial option, but besides that, it will cost $2.99 a week, or $89.99 for the annual pass.
