The match is set to be the continuation of what has been a great rivalry with a number of high quality games being played between these two teams in recent years.

Last year’s grand final was one of these as a field goal from Johnathon Thurston in golden point time saw the Cowboys take home their first ever premiership.

Now they meet again in finals after the Cowboys copped a loss against the Melbourne Storm in the first week of finals.

The Broncos on the other hand eliminated the Gold Coast Titans from the finals race last week and because of that have qualified for this semi-final.

The Cowboys will enter the match as the favourites to progress through to the preliminary finals, but in a rivalry like this anything can happen.

The winner will play Cronulla next week for a spot in the grand final.
