Two of the season’s most entertaining teams come face to face this weekend as the Canberra Raiders host the Penrith Panthers with their seasons on the line.

With every footy fan as hungry as ever to see all the thrilling NRL action unfold, here at The Roar we’ve got all the info you need to watch the game whether you’re in front of a TV or out and about.

Date: Saturday 17th of September
Time: 7:45pm (AEST)

How to watch on TV

It used to be that Channel Nine was your go-to place for finals coverage, but Fox Sports has now hopped on board by gaining joint rights for the 2016 finals.

That said, the Nine Network will still have live coverage of the game from 7pm, with 45 minutes of pre-game coverage and a post-match wrap going through to 10:00pm.

On Foxtel, Fox Sports will begin their pre-game rundown at 6:45pm on Fox Sports 1 following the Holden Cup semi-final, taking you all the way up to kickoff at 7:45pm.

They will also have their own post-game show after the match on the same channel, with the Saturday Night Show starting straight after the game.

How to stream online

If you’ve got a Foxtel subscription with the sports package – which will cost you $50 a month – but can’t get to a TV for the game, you’ll be able to watch the game on Foxtel Play or Foxtel Go. If you don’t have an account, you should be able to get your mitts on a free two-week trial from Foxtel.

The other main option at your disposal if you’re without a TV is the NRL’s Digital Pass, which shows each and every game of the season. If you’re mad about your rugby league, then the Digital Media Pass also covers a lot of other content which isn’t available on TV.

There is a one-week free trial option, but otherwise an NRL Digital Pass subscription will cost $2.99 for a week or $89.99 for the annual pass.
