Either Canberra Olympic or Green Gully will move through to the FFA Cup semi-finals tonight. Join The Roar for live scores from the game and also a blog of the match, starting from 7:30pm (AEST).

This week’s FFA Cup quarter-finals remarkably feature only one A-League club, the reigning champs Melbourne Victory who are going up against the Bentleigh Greens in the match held concurrently with this one.

The Greens and of course these two sides, Canberra Olympic and Green Gully, are both fighting in competition with the big boys and so far have done a sterling job.

Blacktown City also qualified for the quarter-finals but were knocked out 3-0 by Sydney FC last week. Melbourne City also progressed through last week with a win over the Western Sydney Wanderers.

Canberra Olympic made their way through to this match-up with wins over fellow lower-ranked clubs Surfers Paradise Apollo 1-0 in the round of 32, and then Redlands United 2-0 in the round of 16.

Green Gully have claimed the biggest scalp of the two sides, knocking off an A-League level opponent in the Central Coast Mariners 1-0 in the round of 32.

They then beat the Melbourne Knights 3-1 in the round of 16 to progress through to these quarter-finals.

It’s the biggest match in the history of either club as whichever wins through will become just the third non-A-League side to make it through the FFA Cup.

Bentleigh Greens did it in 2014 before being knocked out 3-0 by Perth Glory, will Hume FC pulled it off last year only to be defeated 3-0 by eventual winners Melbourne Victory.

Which of these two teams will win through and set themselves up for a shot at making the final?

Prediction
Could go either way, but Green Gully look the bigger chance.

Green Gully to win 2-0.
