There are two teams left on the field, and it’s time for the NRL’s biggest awards night as the Dally M Medal is decided. Wondering how to stream or watch the event? You have come to the right place with The Roar‘s comprehensive guide.

The medal, named after former legend Dally Messenger is voted on all season long by a panel of experts, with the count being in public until Round 16, and behind closed doors after that.

The event is being hosted this year at The Star in Sydney, with Tony Squires to host and the ceremony expected to get underway at 8:30pm (AEST).

How to stream online

Broadcast rights for the Dally M Medal ceremony lie exclusively with Fox Sports, however there will be two ways to stream the event – either Foxtel Go or the NRL’s digital pass.

To live stream via Foxtel, you will need access to Foxtel Play or Foxtel Go, allowing you to watch the match on any device that you may own.

In order to access Fox Sports coverage via Foxtel Go though, you will need a Foxtel Sports subscription with your package, allowing you to access each of Fox Sports channels, as well as the likes of ESPN, Bein Sports or Eurosport.

The other legitimate way to stream the event is through the NRL Digital Pass, which comes at a cost of $2.99 per week or $89.99 annually.

If you have never used it before, then you can also get access to a one week free trial, or as a Telstra mobile customer you may be eligible to stream for free if it’s a part of your phone plan.

Of course, The Roar will also be running a live blog of the Dally M so you can get all the updates as they come to hand.

How to watch on TV

Fox Sports are the only broadcaster of the event, holding exclusive rights meaning you will need a valid Foxtel Sports subscription to watch the event on TV, with the broadcast being on Channel 501.

They will have a comprehensive build up of the event, starting at 6:30pm (AEST) with their nightly NRL 360 programme, hosted by Paul Kent and Ben Ikin. At 7:30pm, they will go live to the red carpet with Matthew Johns and the usual Monday night team hosting that part of the broadcast.

Fox Sports willk then go live to the ceremony from 8:30pm until the end of their coverage at around 10pm, although this is likely to run later than the scheduled finishing time.
